Political Electricity

It's September 17, 2026. The midterm elections are coming and I have great hope our country will right the ship and jetison the awful party in power. Having said that, this blog is only tacitly about politics.

Here's the rub. The war on Iran (not in Iran, on Iran) is shoveling prices of everything up. The sole reason for it is the current occupant of the oval office. He started it and continues to make horrible decision after horrible decision. We look like idiots for putting him there. Full disclosure, I didn't vote for him. EVER!

With prices shooting up the Fed raised the interest rate yesterday. That means the cost of borrowing is up. Right when we're looking to buy electric vehicles. That's the politics of this blog. Interest rates are up!

I've been hankering for a non polluting car since I was thirteen years old. I'm older than that now. It's so gratifying to me that fleets of ev's scurry around the streets of the southland and buying an electric car is so available. It bodes well for our planet and the fragile ecosystem on which every single person relies. Including stupid republicans.

Our home is already using 100% renewable (green) energy save the gas burners on our stove and pilot light on our water heater. We're working on those. It's exciting to join the conscientious hordes who've cast off the shackles of carbon coughing transportation. Regardless the ignorance of Wyoming, it's the wave of the present.

I heard someone say once, "We won't destroy the world. The world will shrug us off (and recover)." Well, I hope to delay the shrug as long as possible. Of course, the end of days may come before then and that's okay. I've been hankering for that too.

There are so many options out there for ev's. My wife and I spent a good long day researching our favorites and getting pretty excited about it. Sometimes doing the right thing is fun. This is fun.

On a completely different topic, I had an agent request the manuscript of one of my novels. That's a victory. I'll taken 'em when I can. I don't expect to hear back for a while, but at least I'm in the mix.

I'm in the middle of the second draft of my thirteenth novel. I'll let you know more when more is known.

Tomorrow I have a voice over gig for a Netflix show. I am working for a director with whom I've worked several times. It's a gift to repeat with someone in this business and I'm grateful.
