Atheisn't

I've been thinking about atheism lately. Do you know how much you have to ignore to believe there is no God?
The tree in the front yard, the grass, the ground under the grass, gravity, the spinning of the Earth, the axis on which it spins, the sun, the moon, the oceans and the tides, stones and boulders and canyons and creeks, the rivers and lakes and streams and forests, deserts and mountains and valleys and fjords and all the wildlife in them.
You have to ignore oxygen and atmosphere, the ozone and clouds, rain and snow and ice, winter, spring, summer and fall. Not to mention your magnificent body; that collection of sinew and bone, ligaments and synapses, the miraculous confluence of body and spirit, intelligence and reason. And believe it was all an accident? Why? Because bad things happen in the world? It must be exhausting.
It's pretty clear people have ruined the original plan. But that doesn't mean there was no plan.
When you don't have the moral foundation of the creator of the universe in your corner, you're gonna do bad things. Bad things that service your immediate need because, why not? You're gonna do bad things because He gave us free will. The right to choose. Good or evil, Him or us. Imagine the hollow victory if he hadn't. And, as much as He longs to partner in our lives, a bunch of us ignore the signs right in front of us.
Is it so unimaginable that the creator of the universe spoke a big bang at the creation of the universe? Is it so unimaginable that everything we've ever seen or heard or experienced was on purpose? What is unimaginable is that it wasn't.
Here's the good news: God gets the last word.
When the end time comes we'll be raised up to live in His grace, or we'll be thrown into the lake of burnig fire. I know which side I want to be on. Not because the lake is painful and final, but because Grace is a beautiful thing.
Even if bad decisions lead to bad things it doesn't negate the ultimate promise: God is with us.
Be blessed. Resist when you must (fityfity.one) and be good because it's better than the alternative.
